But the Bible also warns that there will be many false teachers -- even more and more as time goes on. However, the Bible, itself, does not change.

If anyone wants to know God, reading the Bible, with a sincere motive to know him, is the safest way to start.

"I have complete confidence in the gospel; it is God's power to save all who believe, first the Jews and also the Gentiles. For the gospel reveals how God puts people right with himself: it is through faith from beginning to end. As the scripture says, 'The person who is put right with God through faith shall live.'"

-Romans 1:16-17

"For it is by faith that we are put right with God; it is by our confession that we are saved. The scripture says, 'Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed.' This includes everyone, becuse there is no difference between Jews and Gentiles; God is the same Lord of all and richly blesses all who call to him. As the scripture says, 'Everyone who calls out to the Lord for help will be saved.'"

-Romans 10:9-13

"And to Solomon he said, 'My son, I charge you to acknowledge your father's God and to serve him with an undivided heart and a willing mind. He knows all our thoughts and desires. If you go to him, he will accept you; but if you turn away from him, he will abandon you forever."

-1st Chronicles 28:9

If you don't already have a Bible, you can get one at just about any bookstore in America. I recommend getting one that is in a clear language that you can easily understand. My mother gave me a "Good News Bible" when I was young. It's in modern English and is easy to understand. It's the same one that I use to this day. All of the quotes, which have been given, were taken from it. The exact version is now out-of-print, but if you want a copy that is very similar, you can get one directly from the American Bible Society. They're the ones who print these Bibles. The following link is to their website. The link offers a copy that is the most comparable to the one that has been quoted in this writing:

These aren't referral links, and I don't get a dime or any kind of commision or kick-back. I provide the links only for your convenience; just in case you like the version and find it easy to follow.

If your native language isn't English, the American Bible Society offers copies of the Bible in many languages. Translations in different languages can be found at bibles.com.

If you have a Bible and don't know where to start. Just do what you'd do with any other book. Start at the beginning and read it to the end.

"Whoever accepts my commandments and obeys them is the one who loves me. My Father will love whoever loves me; I too will love him and reveal myself to him."

-John 14:21
